Tuesday 24th January – walk *** The Dip to Felixstowe Ferry - cloudy.

With the lovely Maeva the Granddaughter coming this afternoon Mag and I decide to get up early and go for a sunrise walk, sadly the sun let us down and it was cloudy, grey and dull but no frost so we took the van to The Dip to walk to Felixstowe Ferry. Parking around 7.30 the tide was very low and the fort at The Dip was showing with the sea being very flat with a light breeze from the north. It was lovely and quiet too, just how we like it but we did bump into two old friends, stopping for long chats:) There was nothing inspiring enough for any photos until we reached the boat yard and I got a few nice pics before heading for home. Breakfast and exercises, then lunch with Maeva arriving at 2.30. We then spent a lovely afternoon with our friend Mary who was well pleased to get a cuddle from the tiny baby:) Then home with our son Dan arriving from work and they all stayed for tea. Maeva dozed off on my lap, she is such a star, we are seeing her again tomorrow when the Health visitor will weigh her as she hopefully approaches 7lbs????
